Get a load of this contract ballot. If you didn't go vote (and 433 of you didn't), you totally missed out on this joke of a ballot. Talk about intimidation tactics....WOW! So this is how the CNA got an "overwhelming margin" to accept the contract. How's that for democracy?

Ballot contrast: According to Resolution No.692,the 18-page document regulating how our district must conduct any and all union related matters, the decertification ballot in March shall read as follows:
"Do you want the California Nurses Association to act as your exclusive representative: YES___NO___"
Also, on pg. 10 of the resolution, it says, "Any employee who inquires..as to the procedure for..decertification election shall be directed to the District Employee Relations Officer[DERO]..who shall provide said employee with a copy of this procedure.." What this means is that you can have a copy of this resolution if you just ask our DERO, Doreen Sanderson, VP for H.R. Her office is in the H.R. dept on the lower level; her secretary is Christy. Please take the time to educate yourself about the invasive presence of the CNA in your work life, and be responsible enough to vote on election day in March. Since it will require a simple majority of the entire bargaining unit (700 RNs) to oust the CNA, each of us who does not vote that day actually gives a vote FOR the union to stay.
